SAFETY & CARING
Enjoy the Water. Take Care of One Another.
The River Rock pool and spa were designed into the natural topography of the property, creating places to swim, play, rest, gather, and explore.
There are multiple levels, water features, entrances, exits, and paths through the pool area. Once you become familiar with the layout, the space is easy to navigate—and wonderfully open to imagination.
There is no lifeguard on duty. Guests swim at their own risk.

Three Things Worth Knowing First
Locate the safety ring.
Please know where it is before you settle into the pool environment, in case of an emergency.
Notice the depths.
The pool has several different levels and water features.
Sun Ledge: approximately 1 foot
Main Pool — Shallow End: approximately 4 feet
Main Pool — Deep End: approximately 8 feet
Lagoon Basin: approximately 4 feet
Look for the tile transitions.
Tan tiles adjoining the PebbleTec beneath the water help outline changes in depth. White tiles also identify important transitions, including pool steps and spa seats.
A few moments of orientation make everything else easier.
Swimming Safely
Children & Supervision
Children and non-swimmers require close, active adult supervision.
The pool has multiple levels, sightlines, and water features. Stay aware of where children are as they move between the pool, lagoon, slide, Sun Ledge, and Jump Rock.
FOLLOW YOUR CHILD.
An adult should remain close enough to respond immediately—not simply somewhere on the pool deck.
Entering the Water
Enter feet first. No diving.
Know the depth before entering an unfamiliar area.
No running on the pool deck.
No pushing, wrestling, roughhousing, or horseplay.
No dogs in the pool.
Please remain aware of depth changes and pool transitions.
Slide Safety
The slide is designed for simple, confident fun. A few reminders help everyone enjoy it safely:
Feet first.
One person at a time.
Keep arms in and knees tucked while sliding.
Make sure the landing area is completely clear before sliding.
Move away from the landing area when you splash down.
Children require close, active adult supervision.
The slide is available 11:00 AM–5:00 PM.
The slide is approved for adults up to 250 pounds.
For young children, one adult may assist at the top while the child is fully seated and ready to enter the chute, with another responsible adult at the bottom.
“All clear!” before the next person goes.
Slide Operation
The slide is turned on and off manually for your convenience.
The toggle is marked with a yellow zip-tag card labeled “MAIN.”
Please turn the slide on when you're ready to use it and turn it off when you're finished. The slide should never be left running unattended.
The slide is available 11:00 AM–5:00 PM.
Before 5:00 PM, please turn the slide off manually.
Thank you for helping us keep the pool operating beautifully and responsibly for everyone.
Spa & Water Temperature
The spa is maintained at approximately 101°F, with a normal 1–2° fluctuation. It is warmer than the pool during its morning and evening heating cycles. Enter slowly and allow your body to adjust.
A Little Hydrotherapy
The River Rock spa is designed for quiet relaxation and gentle hydrotherapy. Warm, circulating water and soft-moving jets create a soothing experience.
Please stay hydrated, avoid alcohol or medications that may affect your judgment, and take breaks. If you feel dizzy, overheated, or unwell, leave the spa and cool down.
Prefer a cooler spa? Just ask. We're happy to adjust the temperature for your comfort.
Notice the white tile edging around the spa seats. It marks the transition between the seating area and the surrounding pool surface. Please be aware of the change in depth and footing as you enter, exit, or move between seats.
Relax, settle in, and enjoy the warmth.
Sun & Deck Safety
Summer pavement can become very hot, particularly during the warmer months.
Pool shoes or flip-flops are recommended.
Please use sunscreen and protect yourself from prolonged sun exposure. Extra sunscreen is available in the pool bath for your convenience.
Weather
River weather can change quickly.
When thunderstorms or high winds approach:
Leave the pool and spa.
Do not remain in the water during lightning or thunder.
Lower the umbrellas.
Secure pool accessories and personal belongings.
Move to a safe indoor location.
Caring for the Pool & Villa
River Rock is here for you to enjoy, and a little care helps keep it beautiful for everyone.
If something breaks, becomes loose, doesn't seem right, or needs attention, please let us know promptly.
Early notice allows us to take care of a small concern before it becomes a larger one—and helps us keep the Villa, pool, and amenities ready for the guests who follow you.
Please return pool equipment and accessories to their designated places when you're finished.
Pool Cushions
If a storm approaches, you may leave the cushions in place and allow them to dry naturally, or use the cushion storage case to keep them dry for later enjoyment.
Thank you for helping us care for River Rock while you're enjoying it.
