Rappahannock River Heritage Trail + Canal Path

Approximately 3.4 miles when combined as a loop

A scenic paved route along the Rappahannock River, connecting the River Heritage Trail with the Canal Path. The route offers river views, historic scenery, Old Mill Park, and places to pause along the way.

One of our favorite choices for an easy, scenic ride. It's a wonderful way to see the river and Fredericksburg without committing to a long or strenuous outing.

WOODLAND & HISTORY

Virginia Central Railway Trail

2.7 miles

A paved multi-use trail following the historic Virginia Central Railway corridor through wooded sections of Fredericksburg. The trail connects with other local pathways and passes near Alum Spring Park.

A relaxed ride with a little history along the way. A good choice when you'd like to get outside without leaving Fredericksburg.

Motts Run Reservoir

A network of natural-surface trails surrounds the reservoir, with designated routes for mountain biking along with hiking, fishing, paddling, and other outdoor activities.
